I FINALLY managed to get the song editor to run properly, so I can start working on songs and see if I like it or not. Even if the pitch player in the editor doesn't work at all, I should be able to make it right myself :P

I'll take this song as my first project, hoping to post some results very soon !

Welp, spent a few hours on this tonight, and I'm almost done. Not sure if I'll be able to finish this tomorrow (exams are exams), but anyway, it could be moved to the WIP section if that's still a thing. Oh well, it's not like it really matters.

Done. Also, about the pitch player, go to Windows' audio mixer and check that Midi output isn't disabled or set to 0.

It probably has something to do with the spaces in the code. Try renaming the files "song.mp3", "background.png", etc. Then change the note file accordingly, like so:

I went and did that the first time and it doesn't show up for me.

- Uploaded it to Owncloud
- Replaced the background with a 1080p version
- Deleted the video (which was a static picture)
- Replaced the song with a 320kpbs version

I've started looking into the file and it's a great start! Timings seem very slightly off from time to time but nothing critical, I'm on it. Pitches seem okay so far, at least for the first few bars I checked. Awesome start.

Did you create a folder for the song in your MLK files ?
Maybe the game doesn't recognize them simply because they're not in the same folder in "songs" ^^

Yep, timing was a bit of a mess considering I couldn't hear the pitches over the actual song. Sure, the backclicking is a good indicator, but it doesn't really render an exact measurement :P

Anyway, I see the golden notes disappeared. Too bad xD

Did you place the files in "Community, or in a folder in "Community"? Because they need to be in a folder, not just "Community".

As soon as I downloaded the files, I created a folder for the files from the download link in Community.

Hum, then I don't know why it wouldn't work. Maybe you'll have to wait until the song is released on the beta channel, but in the meantime, try to start over in a WIP folder, and make sure that all 4 files were correctly copied in your folder, and that they match what's inside the text file. Should look like this, if you follow the file directory at the top (don't mind the French here):

That late reply because S5E18 was too awesome for me (and I got a really bad cold for a couple of days, meh).
