Hey Psychic, the video you published uses a ~360kbps bitrate. The resulting file size is accordingly small, but don't hesitate to push that a bit to avoid artifacts (ie. here, a ~800kpbs bitrate probably would be just fine). I re-encoded the video with a basis of 1000kbps anyway :)

Also yes, divergence. Tell me where's the MP3 I should use :P

Hrm.... didn't realize bitrate was an issue with my converter... I had left it at 0 kbps, thinking it would take care of it all.  I'll manually set it in the future.


Ok, details on the divergence.

1. We have a video.  The audio I made is sync'd to the video and matches perfectly.
2. The audio I made is missing a verse and a little instrumental bit, when compared to the original (long) version.
3. the notes file was created using the original (long) version, which we are to shorten to match the audio and video.

As such, only the first two minutes of the song matches.  After which, the music and lyrics don't match.

I believe Smilley is trimming the notes already, to match the audio and video. 
Naturally, he gave us a progress report in the form of the notes file he posted.
Of course, there might be the idea of having two different versions of the song available...   if I understood his previous posts.

Could any of you check the approximate Golden Note scores on both of these? I know I overshot it with around 2300 points on my first PMV draft, but I couldn't be bothered to play it again after removing some golden lines. As much as I like this song, playing it for the billionth time a day is a bit aggravating.

YASS has a cool "Check errors" feature, that I have yet to master. :P



This is what it says. I'm okay with this - a lot of our songs are erroneous regarding the golden notes bonus anyway, plus the YASS guide is an automated tool that has to be taken lightly (even if efficient). Most, if not all, PPR imports have way too many golden notes as of now - still using the Rock Band score charts.
