Slyphstorm - Morning Mist

Hey guys~

So new guy here who literally registered just a few minutes ago. :D This song is actually one of the few I remember from memory because I find it really really good! It's like...kinda sad and uplifting at the same time, coupled together with Slyphstorm's folkish singing and piano! :) One of the ones I actually search up specifically every now and then to check up on it. (It used to have an impressive 1000:1 like to dislike ratio too.)

I have already started work on it. Right now I've synchronised all the notes with the lyrics fairly well. Might fine tune it a little more and post it later. (Thanks for the tutorials by the way. Extremely helpful! ^.^) So far I can see that there aren't really much breaks to take a breath in between the lines of the chorus. XD Oh well. A challenge of sorts I guess.

Not sure if this is how I'm supposed to say it, but yeah I finished it. The stuff is up on the cloud now. :D

Cover, Background, Notes, Notes (Instrumental)...unfortunately it's claiming I can't exceed the maximum file size of 2MB at the moment so the .mp3 files for both the song and the instrumental aren't up there (yet). It'll go up once that's fixed.

Until then, hope you guys like it. First attempt at this! :D I'll go update the second one I was working on now.

EDIT: Today it worked! Now both the song and instrumental is up. :D

I checked it out just now, amazing job for a first time :)

There's only one thing I'd recommend to you and that's YASS with it's automatic error correction tool, which would help you fix the few minor issues there are left (http://prntscr.com/c7gxep).
Also, it seems to me that in the chorus, you're using the backing vocals instead of the lead (ie. lines 11 and 15), which might confuse people, since most will try singing the lead and fail... or that might be just me, I don't know!

And thank you for doing this song, it's always nice to have more of SlyphStorm ;)

Right so that's what YASS is! I kept seeing that program every now and then when I was researching all this song creation stuff. :D Right then I'll check it out.

Oh no that's probably not you. :( I kept getting mixed up with the backing vocals when I was working on this. Alright I'll get that fixed!

And yes it's always good to have more Slyphstorm! :D I'm planning to do Spirits sometime in the future. Love that song he did too.

EDIT: I've listened to it over and over again and as strange as it sounds, it doesn't appear to be the backing vocals. Somehow the melody sort of sounds like its being shared back and forth with the main and backing vocals in those parts. XD

@Dex can't you simply fix these issues by Pressung c, shift c and t in the editor?

Alright it's fixed! :D It's up on the cloud now. I broke some of the lines because of the line overflow thingy YASS was complaining about. Hopefully it's still okay.

EDIT: Actually, I think they're better not broken. Seems way too rushed. Reverted back to what it was before!
