Huge mic problem

I use singstar microphone. Always when I try to connect my microphone, a error message shows up and says "Player 1 is assinged to multiple microphones. Please check your record options. I have put channel 1 to 1 and channel 2 to off, but it still says that and I can't leave from the record options until I switch both channels off. What should I do?

Check for other entries in the Soundcard and Input settings, that nothing else has Player 1 selected under either Channel 1 or 2. Then go back to your working mic and select it as 1 for Channel 1.

It's okay, it's not a huge issue ! :p

In the Options → Record screen, cycle through the Soundcards; your microphones are probably already assigned to another card. Find the incriminating item and set its channels to "Off" (or just unplug it, if it's a USB sound card you're not using). You'll then be able to re-assign the microphone to other channels.
