Performous uses "notes - alt.txt" file instead of "notes.txt", and "notes - alt.txt" tries to load Song.mp3 file, which doesn't exist (song.mp3 is not the same file - most of file systems on GNU/Linux are case sensitive). Changing extension of "notes - alt.txt" file fixes this problem - Performous loads "notes.txt", which has correct "song.mp3" file specified.

Buuuuut... "notes.txt" has some terrible synchronization issues, clearly audible with Performous' synth mode, so I suggest fixing song file name in "notes - alt.txt".

[edit]
I was wrong, both files are available in song selection screen. Still, without any modifications, one is out of sync, and another one doesn't load at all ;)

Thanks for the report. Looking into this issue.

No problem. BTW, that out of sync one (notes are shifted to the left, to be more specific) - "notes.txt" - has some other weird issue. On the end of first chorus it crashes the game with "FATAL ERROR: Empty sentence". "notes - alt.txt" works correctly (after editing Song.mp3 to song.mp3 of course).

Yes. We had the same issue with the My Little Pony Main Theme too, and it has been reported to the Performous developers. They're likely to patch their song parser to avoid crashes due to long freestyle sentences (our file isn't clean there, but the game shouldn't crash anyway).
